Employment History
Layton Construction
Project Systems Coordinator (Purchasing) 1/2005 - 12/2014
* Evaluated job requirements, discovered appropriate vendors, negotiated pricing and contract details,
placed orders and coordinated the delivery and installation of all job site offices, equipment and site
utilities. This included office and storage space, appropriate phone and data lines, copiers, printers, phone
systems, network equipment, furniture, fencing, dumpsters, signage, and safety and environmental meters.
* Disconnected all of the same services and utilities at the end of the project.
* Coordinated shipments of the equipment that I managed ranging from Fed-Ex packages to semi trailers.
* Inventoried the company owned equipment and evaluated its condition. Cleaned and repaired items such
as copiers, printers, and safety meters so that they would be in good working order for the next project.
* Approved supplier invoices for equipment purchases, leases, rentals and utilities. I created and submitted
invoices to each job internally for their portion of the cost.
* I was solely responsible for the entire departments budget of approximately $500,000 per year. In
addition, I was responsible for the purchase orders and contracts that I negotiated and approved that were
charged directly to the job sites.
Southwest Management
Corporate Safety Manager 1/2001 - 8/2004
* Created safety program to comply with OSHA regulations for residential construction work. This
included setting up the document control system including MSDS tracking.
* Researched training subjects for meetings and documented all employees had appropriate training before
beginning work.
* We did not have a Recordable Accident or OSHA Citation while I was employed.
* Covered for the Project Manager whenever unavailable (prior to one being assigned, arriving on site, or
while on vacation). During this time, I was responsible for supervising the construction workers and
making sure the crews had all tools, materials, and equipment they needed each day.

* Assisted the Corporate Safety Manager with day to day operations of the department.
* Answered calls from job site personnel around the country that had specific OSHA, MSHA or company
safety policy questions. I researched their question and would provide the information they requested.

* Setup all new job sites around the country with office space, furniture, equipment and utilities.

domestic violence. We also handled a great deal of Social Security cases for the disabled.
* Interviewed potential clients. Reviewed the details of their case with them and answered their questions.
* Performed legal research and prepared reports for the attorneys. Created all necessary court documents for
the client. Once the attorney and client reviewed the paperwork, I would notarize and file with the court
